Installing Comment Mail Pro

Comment Mail Pro is a wholly contained plugin that does not require Comment Mail Lite to be installed.

To install Comment Mail Pro:

  1. Deactivate and delete Comment Mail Lite, if it is currently installed.
  2. Download the comment-mail-pro.zip file from your account at Comment-Mail.com.
  3. From your WordPress Dashboard, go to WordPress Dashboard → Plugins → Add New and then click on the "Upload Plugin" button at the top.
  4. Select the Comment Mail zip file you downloaded in step 2 and click "Install Now".
  5. After the plugin finishes installing, click the "Activate Plugin" link.
  6. Once the plugin is active, you can go to WordPress Dashboard → Comment Mail → Config. Options, and get started.

To stay up-to-date with the latest version of Comment Mail Pro, be sure to also configure: WordPress Dashboard → Comment Mail → Plugin Updater

Installing Comment Mail Lite

The Lite version of Comment Mail is intended for site owners that don't need the additional features provided by Comment Mail Pro; or for those who would like to experiment and see a preview of what Comment Mail Pro has to offer.

Note: the Lite version of Comment Mail should not be installed together with Comment Mail Pro. Comment Mail Lite and Comment Mail Pro are two separate plugins, not designed to be run together at the same time.

To install Comment Mail Lite:

  1. Deactivate and delete Comment Mail Pro, if it is currently installed.
  2. Download the Lite version (available at WordPress.org); or click here to download
  3. From your WordPress Dashboard, go to WordPress Dashboard → Plugins → Add New and then click on the "Upload Plugin" button at the top.
  4. Select the Comment Mail zip file you downloaded in step 2 and click "Install Now".
  5. After the plugin finishes installing, click the "Activate Plugin" link.
  6. Once the plugin is active, you can go to WordPress Dashboard → Comment Mail → Config. Options, and get started.
